Autumn's Gold Packaging Is Designed to Attract Health-Minded Shoppers

From the packaging alone, consumers browsing through the granola bar aisle can tell that the Autumn’s Gold brand contains natural ingredients. In this episode of Package of the Week, we take a closer look at the carton, which earned an Excellence Award for Achievement in Digital Application from the Paperboard Packaging Council.

Printed by Cleveland-based Tap Packaging + Design, the Autumn’s Gold granola carton showcases what digital printing can bring to the table and includes on-trend attributes of packaging in the health food sector. Ingredients take center stage on the front panel of the package, which lists almonds, pecans, maple syrup, coconut and other wholesome additions that consumers will taste when they unwrap one of the granola bars after purchasing. The crisp image of the unwrapped bar on the front also allows shoppers to see exactly what they’ll be getting inside.

Tap Packaging + Design implemented its HP Indigo 30000 digital press to produce exceptionally vivid graphics and to match a specific color Autumn’s Gold used on a flexible granola pouch of theirs that was already on the market. The light blue stripes seen on the carton are consistent with those on the pouch, which is important for brand recognition.
