BRAND United University is going virtual – and it’s coming up on Sept. 29! From data-powered direct mail strategies to packaging design innovations, our two-track educational program will provide marketing and design professionals with fresh ideas for enticing and engaging modern consumers.
We’ve recruited an experienced group of speakers to share insights, case studies, and creative examples that will inspire University attendees and equip them with the know-how to differentiate their brands in an increasingly complex marketing landscape. Let us introduce you…
Track 1: Print Marketing
To kick off the first track focused on print marketing, Cyndi Greenglass of Diamond Communication Solutions will address the convergence of digital and direct response channels, as well as highlight industry trends. As part of her Moneyball for Direct Mail keynote, Greenglass will provide campaign strategies that marketers can use to achieve programmatic, trigger, and performance marketing success.
Mishu Rahman Din, research manager at Comperemedia, will lead a session about the creative evolution of direct mail, including how messaging and use cases of the marketing medium have changed during COVID-19. Then Britta Cleveland, SVP of research solutions at Meredith Corporation, will discuss the power of magazine advertising in the optichannel mix – and how to measure ad effectiveness.
Closing out Track 1 is a panel discussion led by Ray Van Iterson, manager of innovation and product development at the United States Postal Service. Direct mail experts Kevin Gilligan (Structural Graphics), Daniel Gaugler (PFL), and Jay Carroll (SeQuel Response) will showcase new technologies and techniques making the channel better targeted, more personalized, and easier to track. You’ll come away with an updated understanding of direct mail and how it drives results in multichannel campaigns.
Track 2: Package Design
This course begins with a powerful keynote from Joey Rosa, packaging design professor at FIT and founder of Matterful Brands. Using a case study of protein bar EatMezcla, Rosa will demonstrate how brands can engage consumers and grow movements through packaging design and digital innovation, including QR technology.
Mintel Global Packaging Director David Luttenberger will share an overview of key trends and innovations in today’s marketplace, including advancements in packaging sustainability. Next up, join Tom Newmaster of FORCEpkg for a closer look into the creative process of brand packaging and development through a series of case studies across several product categories.
To wrap up Track 2, we’ll bring Luttenberger and Newmaster together with Dan Ahern of Graphic Packaging International and Ron Sasine of Hudson Windsor for a dynamic discussion of modern strategies for stand-out package design. These industry insiders will explore how leading brands are improving the consumer experience from first look through to functionality.
